About
Born near Dresden in Saxon Switzerland, Germany. Studied physics at Freie Universität Berlin with a minor in aviation, flying an Airbus A319/A320 full flight simulator. Investigated high-temperature superconductors in Rio de Janeiro. PhD at Humboldt-Universität studying multistability and synchronization with semiconductor lasers. Moved to New York for Columbia's Astrophysics Lab, trapping single Krypton atoms for a dark matter detection experiment.
Now building production AI systems—agentic pipelines combining LLMs with RAG, knowledge graphs, and custom ML models. Fascinated by the interplay between deterministic and probabilistic systems, combining the predictability of classical software with the generality of language models. Cares deeply about how people and AI actually collaborate. Also creates large-scale light art shown in NYC and at Burning Man.
